Abstract: A home battery RFQ that lists only "10kWh, LiFePO4, best price" will come back as a generic catalog quote — not a system your installer can actually commission. The eight details below are what move an inquiry from "price per kWh" to a model-numbered BOM with the right inverter, the right voltage, and the right certifications for your market.
The 8 Details That Belong in Every RFQ
1. Grid type and phase
This is the first thing we read. Write:
- Country and grid standard (e.g., "230V single-phase, 50Hz, Spain" or "120/240V split-phase, USA")
- Single-phase, three-phase, or off-grid
Why it matters: a split-phase home in the US needs the DWH 8–15K (UL certified). A three-phase German home needs the DWH 8–24K. An off-grid cabin needs the DWA series. Get this wrong and the whole quote is wrong.
2. Daily household load or monthly bill
Attach a 12-month electricity bill, or write the monthly kWh. If you're working from estimates, say so.
Why it matters: this picks the battery size. A home using 12 kWh/day at 2-day autonomy needs ~20 kWh usable — two HZEB-LCT-10 units. An apartment using 5 kWh/day fits one HZEB-LCT-5.
3. Backup requirement
List the actual loads you want backed up:
- Essential only (lights, fridge, router)?
- Whole home?
- Specific heavy loads (well pump, EV charger, heat pump)?
Why it matters: a 3kW inverter handles essential loads. A 10kW inverter handles whole-home startup surges. The Romania 75kWh wall-mounted install grew from "we need backup" to 75kWh once the load list included a well pump and workshop.
4. Existing solar inverter (if any)
Brand, model, year, and whether it's hybrid or standard.
Why it matters: an existing Sunsynk or Deye hybrid means battery-only BOM — just match voltage and CAN protocol. Our UK 30kWh case ran this way. An old string inverter means either AC coupling or full replacement.
5. Mounting preference and location
- Wall-mounted (HZEB-LCT series)?
- Floor stack (BS06-S or HZEB-LCT-10ESS)?
- Outdoor cabinet?
- Indoor garage or utility room?
Why it matters: weight and IP rating differ. A wall-mounted HZEB-LCT-10 weighs ~60 kg and needs a masonry or stud wall. An outdoor location needs an IP54+ cabinet.
6. Certification requirements by market
- Europe: CE, IEC 62619, IEC 63056
- North America: UL 1973, UL 9540
- Other: UN38.3 for shipping
Why it matters: the DWH 8–15K split-phase is UL-certified for North America. The rest of the DWH line carries CE/IEC. We quote the right model for your market, not a generic unit.
7. Quantity and target price
Are you ordering one sample for evaluation, or 50 units for distribution? What's your target landed cost per kWh?
Why it matters: sample orders ship in 7–15 days. Volume orders get container pricing and custom branding discussion.
8. Timeline and shipping destination
When do you need delivery? Which port? Do you handle your own freight or need door-to-door?
Why it matters: UN38.3-certified battery shipping takes 25–35 days by sea. Air freight for samples is 5–7 days but costs more.

Send these eight lines and the reply comes back as a BOM — model numbers, quantities, lead time, and price — not a "we have 5kWh, 10kWh, 20kWh, what do you want?"
RFQs that come in with all eight details get accurate quotes in one round. RFQs that come in as "10kWh best price" go through three or four email exchanges before anyone can put a number on it.

Q1: How long does it take to get a quote after sending an RFQ?
With all eight details included, Ruibit Energy returns a model-numbered BOM and pricing within 2–3 working days. Missing information adds back-and-forth — typically 5–7 days for incomplete RFQs.
Q2: Do I need a monthly electricity bill to request a quote?
It helps, but it's not mandatory. If you don't have one, describe the household: number of occupants, daily usage habits, and the loads you want backed up. We'll size from that, but a bill gives the most accurate number.
Q3: Can I request a sample unit before bulk ordering?
Yes. Sample orders (one to two units) ship in 7–15 days for evaluation. Volume container orders get tiered pricing and longer lead times. Most distributors start with a sample before committing to a full container.
Q4: What if I already have a solar inverter from another brand?
Include the brand and model in the RFQ. If it's a hybrid (Deye, Sunsynk, Growatt), you may only need the battery. If it's a standard string inverter, we'll quote either AC-coupling or a full hybrid replacement.
Q5: Which certifications do I need for my market?
Europe requires CE plus IEC 62619 and IEC 63056. North America requires UL 1973 and UL 9540. All Dawnice batteries carry UN38.3 for shipping. Specify your target market in the RFQ and we'll quote the certified version.
